Wireless is an extension of the wired. Everything on the Ethernet is on
wireless and vice versa. 

So, no. Connecting the Ethernet to the base station is sufficient.

Be sure and get the ports on the base station correct. WAN goes to Cable
modem; LAN to the iMac.
