Chris, I can't state for sure on cameras but I can on TV's. A friend in California had a WEGA TV (the expensive flat-screen variety) he had purchased about 3 months earlier. Something happened to it and it wasn't working correctly so he contacted Sony to get warranty work done. They provided the names of 3 authorized service locations in the area. NONE of the service locations would do pickup or on-site fix (warranty says otherwise) and none would do it for free even though it was under warranty. He called Sony back and they basically blew him off. He ended up getting a different TV instead of continuing to deal with Sony BS. If he as out in the middle of nowhere, this might explain it a little but this was in San Jose, CA. While I REALLY like Sony equipment when it works, this incident made sure I'll never buy their stuff.
