audio drop outs in FCP2

Hi there,
    We seem to be experiencing audio drop outs in the canvas only of 
FCP2...REALLY annoying. We allocated more memory...the problem persists. The 
original footage is fine, also audio is ok in the viewer. What could be the 
problem?

Also..when adding a transition we are getting "Insufficient Content for edit" 
message.  What is up with this?
