If this is going to be a pro setup, why not get a pro converter? Sure,
Canopus makes a good "prosumer" analog-DV converter in the ADVC-100,
but they also make a "pro" converter as well, with component video I/O
-- the ADVC-500:

Or, one of the best pro DV converters -- the ProMax DA-MAX+ (w/10-bit
