No, I don't think Apple's DVD Player can recognize VCDs. You need MacVCD
(from the same company as iVCD). VLC (VideoLanClient) or MPlayer might also
be able to play VCDs, but I haven't tried.

Do you have a standalone DVD player to try it on? I know the Sony
PlayStation 2 can NOT play SVCDs.
