 From the reports I've read, the import won't work if the clip is bigger 
than 2 GB. I'm basing that on previous postings to this list and others 
where people have had problems importing files >2GB into iMovie. The 
solution has always been to split it up into <2GB files prior to 
importing (IIRC).
