Those are probably DVD-R for authoring.  It might seem like it wouldn't 
matter what the disk is for, but the "for general" and "for authoring" 
on the label reflect slightly different formats.

That was my suggestion - two different people. If you took the time to 
actually consider it rather than flying off the handle, you might find 
that it makes a lot of sense.
