[MacDV] The new G5's

The only people capable of telling you from first hand experience would 
be Apple employees involved in the development of these machines and I 
would believe that they would tow the company line.  From the looks of 
things one should expect a noticeable speed difference between a G4 and 
G5 and a world of difference compared to your G3.  If I was you I would 
not even look at the G5 because that would show you how slow your 
computer really is and you would be unhappy every time you boot it.
