If you buy Toast Titanium you can export to MPEG-1 from any app that
allows exporting of QuickTime clips (like QuickTime Pro player or even
iMovie).

iMovie only exports to QuickTime, CD burning is handled by the system
(Disc Burner in the Finder) or Toast.

You can usually get better quality with QuickTime for computer
playback. You wouldn't be able to play a CD-ROM with QuickTime files
on a set-top DVD player, but you could play VCDs and SVCDs on both your
computer (using VLC player) *and* a set top player, and SVCDs rival
DVDs in quality but can be burned onto CD-Rs.

From what I've seen it looks like a solid app. I'll probably buy it
myself for the simple fact that it allows such easy (albeit slow)
creation of SVCDs on the Mac.

Hope that helps some.
