Audio Extraction from MPEG movie

Your easiest solution is to download AudioHijack which intercepts the 
sound played from any source and gives you the option of recording it 
in AIFF or MP3 (the Pro Version at least).  I use it with iMovie 3 or 
Final Cut Express to tweak the sound before capturing.  It should work 
fine with Quicktime as long as Quicktime will play back the movie.

BTW, Using a video feedback loop from my ATI 8500 card lets me use my 
A/D converter to pass through then record any sounds coming from my 
stereo.  AudioHijack rocks!
