I'm making some DVD's from old analog VHSC cassettes - playing them through my DV camera into iMovie. all works fine. But today I've come up with a tape that seems to play VERY slowly in the old analog camera. Plays fine in a VHS stand-alone player. I'm suspicious that the old camera record head, capstans and stuff are just dirty. Can I clean a VHS head with Q-tips and alcohol? Is there a cleaning tape for this size? Any other thoughts/reasons? I can't just sidestep the camera and record from the VHS player because the tape is NTSC but the player is PAL - with internal translation. There's no output point where it's NTSC. And my dv camera is NTSC also. Don't ask - it works for me. Thanks, Tuck -- Tuckerman Moss • The Old Vicarage • West Anstey • United Kingdom --
