Upgrade to iMovie 3.

Or you could work on the audio separately in something like Amadeus II 
or Sound Studio then import it back in, but that's a huge pain. Just 
use iMovie3. It's a little buggy, but nowhere NEAR as bad as some 
people make out. I use it almost daily without problems.
