I likewise bought one of these drives. I expect to put it into a case
this weekend.
OS X has problems copying large files to external FireWire drives, IMHO.
I have an 80GB that sometimes freezes, sometimes doesn't. It's
unreliable with OS X. Copies fine in OS 9.
