>How do the rest of you fare when it comes to actually getting rebates?
I am staying away from Western Digital, and their rebate offers !!!

I was promised a $100 rebate on a Western Digital hard drive several months ago. The cheque arrived, but only for $20. I telephoned them, as well as sending them a copy of all the receipts, etc. which indicate a $100 rebate. Even checked the small
print.
They said it would take several weeks to check into it.
The $20 cheque that did arrive must be cashed by the end of May or it is void.
We'll see if they send the other $80.

Buyer beware !

Our local television news "consumer guy" did an investigative report on "rebates". Many companies use it hoping that consumers do not send it in on time, or do not send all the necessary items. It is a lure to get people to buy their product and the
onus is on the consumer to receive their rebate, not the company that offered it.

Same here !
