Well, I've just yesterday received one and tried to use the included 
Silverliner software to partition it.   This 24 hour process failed 
after 10 minutes and the disk is now "unreadable by this macintosh." 
I imagine it can be resurrected by reformatting but not a good start.
It worked perfectly out of the box and was formatted ideally for  OS 
X and without partitions.
(I am using G4 with OS 9.2.2  and 512Mb RAM.)
