I do hear that the snow G4 iBooks have solved a lot of the problems, but the
worst of it is that Apple just refuses to accept that they screwed up on
many more of the g3 snows than they currently admit.  The recall program is
ridiculously limited.  Just poke around on Apple's on message boards and the
stories are so sad:  Bad hinges snapping video and data cables, bad video
chips, overheating, bad motherboards...  All going bad in an average of 12.1
months...you guessed it:  Right after warranty expiration.

I know I know...plenty of 'books having no problems at all....
