GeeThree Slick imovie effects

I am having trouble with the color palettes on the GeeThree Slick imovie 
effects.  When touching a palette such as white, or black or red or another color, 
all I am getting is a blue or green color? I am running on G4 dual 1 g with 
9.2.2

Also wondering about the titling effects. They look OK on the monitor but 
when transferred to tape and viewed on a tv the letters turn out with blurred 
shadows. Anyone have trouble like this?
