Karl:
iMovie doesn't like audio recorded in 12 bit it prefers 16 bit. A
project digitized which is recorded in 12 bit can develope audio sync
problems. When someone has given me a 12 bit tape I've made an analog S
or Vhs copy and then copied that to Mini DV recording it in the 16 bit
setting. I've had no problems editing it that way. That could solve
your audio issues, but if your having other problems someone else may
address them. I've used that version for more that 2 hr projects on a
lesser Mac and had no problems.
