In the process of getting ready for Tiger upgrades on my iMac DV SE and 
my MDD 867 dual I've been looking at my options on hardware.  Cleqarly, 
adding an internal HD to the MDD and moving the external FW 400 drive 
to the iMac seems the most cost effective solution to one problem - 
full back-ups before installation.

So while at Best Buy to get a new toaster I had to fool around with the 
Mac Mini on display, then thought I'd see what they had in the upgrade 
department.  They currently have the 120 GB Seagate ATA 100 w/ 8MB 
cache for $49.98 with a $50 rebate.  I almost bought two, but since 
I've had trouble earlier this year getting a 200GB seagate to be 
recognized, I just got the one.  I was checked out before I remembered 
the toaster :-)

The offer is good until 5/7/05.  Those of us with older hardware may 
wish to take advantage of this bit of news.
