[MacDV] iMovie HD - Breaking up clips

Hey,

Had my first real serious experience with iMovie HD. I do have a 
question though. When you are importing clips and when clips are 
seperated is there anyway to merge to clips together as though it was 
one single clips? Does anyone know what I mean here?

Can you have during import/capture it being capture as one single clip 
instead of a bunch of small little ones?
