[MacDV] PAL to NTSC?

Donna et al. I have ripped the DVD as suggested. I then parsed it  
through dvd2onex to bring out the subtitles. I then burned the new  
image with disk utility. When I try to read the new disk, dvd player  
says it's not a supported disk. Ideas are really welcome!!!
