Ah, okay. But I could try 8-bit instead of 16-bit at those specs?

I know that my new DVD player does, but I don't see any mention
of that in the user's manual for my little portable CD player,
which is what I want to play this movie soundtrack on. So if
I can't make it fit in 44KHz AIFF, I guess I'll have to split 
it across two CDs.
