Well. First, I'm assuming what you're doing is legal. Get the QT file as you've already done. Then you'll need QT Pro. Open the movie in QT Player, click Apple J (or on Windows, Ctl J). Then click on the audio portion, and then click extract. Save the resulting file. Use either HandBrake or DVDxDV to get a file that I can edit in quick time. 2. I edit out the parts that I don't want, and import it into iMovie 3. I then extract the audio and import it into iTunes and burn a cd. I can never get the 2 parts of the dvd ( which has been copied from a commercial dvd using MTR and then toast ) I have tried with about 8 different dvds with 2 parts and I have the same problem. I don't necessarily get only part 1 some of the dvds give me part 2 only. I have tried opening up the part that I don't get in dvd player, closing it, with the hope that because that part was playing last the copy might come from that part, but it doesn't I still get the same part as I got before I bothered doing that. I hope this makes sense, I'm not good at explaining things, however if anyone out there has any suggestions or questions to ask to try to solve my problem I would appreciate it.
