I posted to the DUC forums at digidesign.com, someone suggested converting the file to a wav. It worked! Thanks for any replies, one thing to mention, one of the files would not import after converting to a wav - Pro Tools Free said the file was too fragmented. I ended up re-copying it to my internal HD (PB G4), which "fixed" it. Sigh. Always one small thing.
