[MV] Which Voice Recog Software for Transcribing

Dear Chuck,
I recently purchased iListen and the Olympus recorder that is recommended by
MacSpeech for my boss, an attorney, to use to dictate letters. He records
the letters and then e-mails them to me. I then open iListen and transcribe
it. It's a neat concept, in principle, as we've just started, but I'm
hopeful that in the end it will be a BIG timesaver. I'm new to the program,
so your help would be greatly appreciated.

First, when I have the correction window open and there's a list of words to
choose from, my question is, after I click the right word (or type in the
word he means) is this a "saved" correction so that when the program hears
that word in the future, it will get it right? Also, how does the other
correction option of "What I say" work? I reviewed the manual, but it's not
clear.
Second, what's the difference between "Update This Window" and "Update All
Windows"?
Third, when does the "save" actually take place? When I restart the
program?
Fourth, under the learn my writing style, what format/application will that
open? Where do I get the sample from?
I know that I'll need him to reread the samples, but I was hoping to invest
the time on the corrections window so that it would work without getting him
involved again.
Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. Will buying the legal pak be helpful?
