[MV] Dictate looses the mic and won't grab it back.

Here is some similar quirky behavior:

HP laptop with Vista -  let's say that I am listening on headphones to some
audio or video through itunes ( maybe other apps also)... I stop the media
and close the lid - pull the headphones - travel - then open it up -  put
back the headphones -  start the media ...  No matter how many times  I re-
insert the headphones -  all the audio comes out of the speakers till I
reboot the machine...

-  if I pull the headphones before I close the lid ...  There's no
problem... 

-  sounds like the same guy worked on the audio interface for both
platforms...  Maybe he needs to do a little more bug checking...
