Oh dear. Now I am confused.  Mine *IS* a 667, but how do you find out 
if it is one of the original ones? It's a year old, and was a 
replacement one sent by Apple when my 500 had an unrepairable problem.

Thanks for everyone who has replied about this. (Still trying to make 
up my mind!)
