[Ti] very rare, in OS X

Just negligent programming in apple's part...

if the tibook has a way to sense a valid cat-5 or airport connection 
and it knows that one or both of those 'physical' connections are lost 
it should be smart enough to KNOW that any remote mount/filesystem etc 
is - hello?? - no longer available.
