[Ti] Audio CDs contain no readable volumes

Sorry for this being OT

Here's one thats driving me nuts
Some (not all) of my CDs are unreadable by OSX
When I insert the disk I get the message
"you have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read."

now if I log in using my "ghost" account
The CD is readable
I have tried trashing the itunes preferences and the finder prefs
Can anyone else think of anything?
