[Ti] indexing problems

sure, here's more info:
tibook 1ghz 512 mb ram, 1 mb L3 cache..etc..running 10.3.2
17Gb of ram remaining on 60GB drive.

When it tries to index it just hangs on a number like "82 of 152" for 
example.
