In the office, my DSL modem is connected to an analogue telephone
line, and then my wireless gateway (PC equivalent of an Airport base
station) is connected by a short ethernet cable to that modem. With
that, four of us are wirelessly connected to the internet at 256k
(total). 3 PCs, and my Ti-book.

Other ethernet connections could come directly from the DSL modem, if
needed (up to 3 more, I think).

At home, I have the same DSL modem, but a version designed for
connection to an ISDN line.
This gives me 256k connection at home, plus the (2) other ISDN lines
are available for phone and fax.

I have two Powerbooks (this Ti, plus my old 3400c) connected by
ethernet cable to the modem.
