Cinema display = $1300

OSX = $130
TWO 17" flat panel CRT = $360
Second video card = $250
Office X upgrade = $250

TOTAL = $990

Use remaining $310 to upgrade additional apps and run the other apps
in Classic mode.

More screen real estate, better value. If a non-profit cannot afford
to upgrade to OSX, it is premature to buy an LCD display; these
things are dropping in price fanatically. In a year that LCD will be
at least 30% cheaper, and by then the user will have a good
understanding of OSX and be able to utilize all the features of the
LCD.
