Pagemake 6.5 -> PM 7

I have many documents created using Pagemaker 6 (6.5.2).

I also have Pagemaker 7.0.1.

Both run under Classic.

My problem is this: when I click on an old document, created with 
PM6.5, it causes PM 6.5 to launch.

Normally, the OS is smart enough to launch the latest version of an 
application, but not in this case.

If I drag a PM6.5 document on to the PM7 application icon, it does 
not launch PM7.

If I do GET INFO on a PM6.5 document, and try to OPEN WITH, Other 
..., I see that PM7 is greyed out, so I cannot select it as the 
deafault application for this kind of document.

Note that I can Open any of these PM6.5 documents from within the PM7 
application.

But that is a tedious PC-like way of doing things...		:-)

"does not compute" is how I react.
There seems to be something not right here, compared to how the OS 
normally functions.

Any ideas ??   As usual, there may be a very simple answer.  I 
eagerly await to learn it !
