OSX Bootable disk

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to create a bootable OSX disk?
I tried carbon copy cloner but wasn't able to do so...

Then I tried this command in the terminal "sudo /usr/sbin/bless -device
/dev/disk3    -label "'OSX Boot'" -xcoff /usr/standalone/ppc/bootx.xcoff"
after creating a disk image of 680 megs I always got this error message
"Could not get device size: No such file or directory
Error while writing StartupFile for /dev/disk3"

Any solution?
