I never have used anything but the COMBO. COMBO can even be re-applied to a OS X 10.2.6 to cure problems from partial update. Actually, after reports (from me as well) to Macfixit.com that COMBO does avoid all the problems from the partial update the macfixit sponsored solutions is indeed to disregard the partial and apply the COMBO systematically. So, once again: if your 10.2.6 shows some weirdness do yourself a favor: apply the COMBO on it before attempting other drastic (ie start piecemeal changes) solutions. Cheers Massimo
