Any DV specialists here?

Hi Everyone,

I have a question from a friend who is interested inpurchasing an Al or
maybe a Ti with DVD burning capabilities.

He currently uses a Sony DSR PD100A for DV footage - what he is wondering
is, does the capability exist to burn DVD's directly from the camera in real
time through the computer? Or does the DV footage need to be dumped to the
HD before burning?

Another option he is looking at and doesn't completely understand is
purchasing a stand alone Panasonic DVD burner which contains a 40G HD and
running it that way.

He has hours of footage to burn and wants to find the most efficient way of
dealing with it. (cost is not a consideration for him)
