vinyl/cd is probably the easiest difference-- I use 80% vinyl on my home 
system, there's nothing like keeping it all analog-- I run it through a 
tube amp as well--you can't beat the warmth of vinyl.

AAC rocks... depending on what you're listening to... I've found it to 
be a little weak in the mid upper and mid lower ranges, but high end, 
low end, and middle range is very good-- 100% better than mp3

aiff or wav, but you're talking about 10 megs a minute or so-- there is 
another one, called doggy or piggy or something, that is pretty much 
lossless, but its only about 5 megs per minute-- i'll look into it and 
get back with you
