OS 9 partition is not showing

I have at 667 TiBook that has 20 gig delegated to Panther and 10 gig to 
OS 9.2. from a 30 gig HD.

I was loading some software and had a kernel panic ... upon rebooting, 
my OS 9 icon/HD is not showing at all.  Any suggestions on what I have 
to do to go back in and reclaim my OS 9 partition.

Feel free to reply directly, I'll post a summary.
