Mail question

I have a question about the mail program in Panther.  I've tried the 
mail help files and checked all the menu options, but can't find this 
answer.  On one of my computers, the mail program is set so that 
highlighting the mail in the list of messages shows the message without 
having to double-click to open it. (Like the preview mode in Eudora).  
My TiBook, however, does not have this feature.  How do I turn that on?
