The issue isn't an APPLE built Superdrive because Apple doesn't build them.
If you want to use iDVD you'll need an internal DVD. Head over to
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ for a list of compatible burners and comments
about installing them in different machines. I bought the Pioneer 105 model
that was sold under the Cendyne label and it works like a champ.
