Axxll - as an alternative, I use Gimp-Print, which uses the CUPS 
architecture in OS X, together with open-source drivers, which seem 
better than the "original" drivers:

  gimp-print
  (<http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gimp-print/gimp-print-5.0.0-beta2.ppc.dmg>)

for which you also need:

  ESP GhostScript
<http://ovh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gimp-print/espgs-7.07.1.ppc.dmg>
