[Ti] 3GPP

On my Al-book (10.3.9, QT 652), I receive about one unsolicited 3GPP 
movie per week, via Bluetooth.

They have the Quicktime icon, and are identified as 3GPP movies in 
the Quicktime preview (in GetInfo)

I cannot open them.  The message is that this not a file that 
Quicktime understands.

VLC plays them fine.

Is there anything I need to do/can do/ with QT to get it to 
understand these files?

I presume that 3GPP is ome kind of movie format related to mobnile 
phones (as this is surely the source of these movies).

Any experience or knowledge out there on 3GPP and QT?
