[Ti] generic vs brand name memory?

I picked up a 1Gb SODIMM from CompUSA that they had for $129 (after MIR) a
week or two ago and have been using it successfully since then. It's not
made by any company which I can remember ... so certainly nobody like
Crucial and it wasn't "Apple certified" ... don't know if you count that as
generic.

Can't speak to the specifics of your machine, as mine was just the standard
1x512mb.
