[Ti] No Ti 2

Well, a little while back I mentioned I had a problem with my Ti.  
Well, after trying many things, hardware tests, I have identified 2  
issues:

Top RAM chip "pops" out from slot, over time top "grips" have worn -  
prevented my machine from booting (though the Ti WOULD boot if I  
pressed the reset button on the back). It wasn't fully seated.

When display turns off after a specified time, the machine freezes


The first issue is a pain, but I suppose could be fixed with  
cardboard (yikes). The second issue, however, is very odd and makes  
no sense to me. Could this indicate problems with my video card?
