1 Check that you haven't been "hit" by the odd function in 10.4.6  
which turns down the light on your screen when you restart the Ti.  
Very annoying bug or whatever it is. Pressing the Sun-key after start  
returns the screen light.

2 See what extra light and contrast you can get from the calibration  
available under System Preferences/Screen/Colour/Calibrate

3 Try to increase contrast on the screen with the short command. Ctrl- 
Alt-Kommando and press "point" (your "dot"-key = .). To reduce  
contrast you can hold down the same three keys and press "comma" (,)
