[Ti] Wireless/National/Email/Internet/Ti/Macbook

Two related questions --

1. Experience with national or at least wide untethered internet/ 
email service via PCMIA card, with Verizon (or who else?),
on the "old" Al/TI Powerbooks? Works well? not at all? Expense in  
real life?

2. The MacBook Pro Intel/CoreDuo has this Express/32? card slot.  Is  
one available (and does it work) for similar internet/email service  
nationally?
