[Ti] Its gone black...

Dear Arne,

Happened to me too last year (Ti 1 GHz). I figured that, after 5 years of constant use, it was OK to let it go. Replacing the screen would not be worth the expense involved. I did connect it to an external monitor, backed up all the HD's contents and bought a MacBook Pro.

Best,

Henry

The screen is broken, so I have attached a secondary screen which has worked fine so far. However, it all stays black now. I hear it make the original apple startup sound and then... it rattles its harddisk and stays black. >
