[Ti] Its gone black...

Hi all,
I have an old 550Mhz ti with a broken screen. Just the other week it ran
another 10.4 update and looked good. But now I cannot seem to be able to get
it going again. The screen is broken, so I have attached a secondary screen
which has worked fine so far. However, it all stays black now. I hear it
make the original apple startup sound and then... it rattles its harddisk
and stays black.

Any thoughts?
