Hello To FC:
A belated thanks to you for the Leopard Install info. It was my first exposure to the Terminal and I am going to start using it more. When I got top the install window, all I see is a paddle wheel and freeze up. Up to today it's the closest  to an install so far.

The Install disk that I'm using  stated on the box that it was OS X 10.5.4 and compatible with Intel, Power G or Power G4, 867GHZ. There is something I'm not seeing or a corrupt file somewhere.  I started by wiping the drive clean and only reinstall the install disk that came with it.
