[X-HW] scanners under OS X (10.2.6)

I use a Lexmark X83 "All in One" printer/scanner. I keep checking 
VueScan. It appears that they will never adapt to my printer/scanner.

Lexmark admits they have problems, but don't seem to be interested in 
doing anything about it.
